Kia ora, my name is Mana Placid and I’m the owner of Legacy Roof Painters Limited — a locally owned roof painting business based right here in Christchurch, proudly serving the Canterbury region.

 

​I’ve been working full-time in the roofing industry for over 10 years, starting out in my dad’s company, Awsom Roofs, where I learned the trade from the ground up. He taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and doing the job properly — lessons I’ve carried into my own business.

Legacy Roof Painters is my way of continuing the family 'legacy', while putting my own spin on things — mixing old-school workmanship with fresh energy and modern standards.

What We’re About

 

Our team’s young, motivated, and passionate about giving your roof a new life. We use quality paints and techniques that protect your home against New Zealand’s tough weather, and every job comes with a 12-year warranty for peace of mind.

Because we’re trained in rope and harness work, we don’t usually need expensive scaffolding — which means we can get the job done faster and cheaper without cutting corners on safety (we like to think of ourselves as a bit like roofing ninjas).

 

Safety’s a big deal for us too — everyone on the team is fully trained and qualified under NZQA height and safety standards, so you can trust that every job is done safely and properly.
